The Philippines is home to beautiful beaches, chilled island vibes, an interesting history and some of the most wonderfully kind people.

EATING IN PHILIPPINES

Food in the Philippines is very varied and consists of rice and vegetable dishes as well as many dishes containing fish, seafood, chicken, pork or beef. Crocodile meat is sometimes considered a specialty.

Typical dishes include spices such as ginger and garlic as well as soy sauce or fish sauce and rice vinegar.

Here are my top choices of food to try when in Malaysia.

Kaldereta

Beef stew that’s usually made with bell peppers, carrots and potatoes.

Adobo

This dish is chicken or pork meat marinated in soy sauce, vinegar and spices such as bay leaf, peppercorn, ginger and garlic.

Ube Ice Cream

This purple ice cream is coloured with using ubes that are purple coloured sweet yams.

Halo Halo

This dessert has fruits, sweet beans and multicoloured shaved ice topped with evaporated milk and often purple ice-cream.
