CZECHIA GENERAL INFO
Czechia is a landlocked country in central Europe.
In 2016 the country adopted the name ‘Czechia’ as a shortened, informal name for the Czech Republic.
Historically it was known as Bohemia, it is bordered by Austria to the south, Germany to the west, Poland to the northeast, and Slovakia to the southeast.
Prague’s Old Town is home to the third-oldest astronomical clock in the world.
The Czech Republic ranks as the seventh safest country to live in the world.
There are over 2000 castles and chateaux in the Czech Republic, more than in any other country in Europe. Some of the most famous ones are the Hluboká Castle, Orlík Castle, Lednice Castle and Karlštejn Castle.

EATING IN CZECHIA
Czech cuisine is hearty and flavourful, with a focus on comfort food and traditional recipes.
Here are my top choices of food to try when in Turkey.
Svíčková na smetaně
This is a Czech classic, consisting of marinated beef sirloin served with a creamy sauce, cranberry sauce, and a dollop of whipped cream. It's often accompanied by bread dumplings (houskové knedlíky).
Trdelník
This is a sweet pastry made from rolled dough, which is wrapped around a stick, grilled, and then coated in sugar and often cinnamon. It's a popular street food and a sweet treat you can't miss.
Palačinky
These are Czech-style crepes, often filled with a variety of sweet fillings such as jam, Nutella, or fresh fruit. They're a delightful dessert or snack.
Goulash (Hovězí guláš)
