This post shares my photos from a visit to Gibraltar in July 2023

Gibraltar, is a tiny country on the southern tip of Spain. It is a British Overseas Territory often known as the ‘Rock of Gibraltar’.

To get to Gibraltar from Spain you walk or drive across Gibraltar airport runway as it’s connected to Spain by a narrow strip of land.

Even though it’s small in size there are so many tourist attractions and fun things to do during your time in Gibraltar.

You can read this post all about the top 10 things to do in Gibraltar.

We had an interesting day in Gibraltar to say the least and you can watch our full day in this video.

These are my photos and postcards from Gibraltar.

We spent most of our time in Gibraltar on the rock up in the nature reserve and I have to say the ticket was certainly worth it’s cost considering all the attractions you can go to.

There was definately more than one days worth of fun to be had up there.

We did have a slight disaster at the top of the rock though when my sister was bitten by a monkey. It is recommended to put your bags on your front as the monkeys can and will jump up and go through your bag. She initially did have her bag on her front but then we went for breakfast and afterwards she put it on her back by mistake.

As soon as we went out a monkey spotted her and jumped on her back. After emptying out her bag, he sat there for a while before jumping off and bitting her arm as he went.

We were advised by the pharmasist we went to we had to visit A&E which we did. It was a pretty smooth experience at Gibraltar A&E. We were in and out within 40 minutes or so. The doctor cleaned the wound and prescribed some anti biotics. He did share with us that they have at least 2 visits in to A&E each week from monkey bites so please do be careful if you go up the rock in Gibraltar.
