One of the major draws of Nha Trang is its vibrant underwater world. The clear waters of Nha Trang Bay are home to diverse marine life, making it a snorkeller's and diver's paradise. You can explore colorful coral reefs and encounter exotic fish species beneath the surface.
We spent over a week in Nha Trang during our travels through Vietnam and found it to be a wonderful place to relax.
We were surprised to find that the majority of tourists and people we interacted with were Russian. This is because close to Nha Trang there used to be an Air Force Base in Cam Ranh. The nearest city to Cam Ranh is Nha Trang so it became popular among the Russian soldiers, personels and their families. Lots of them then moved to live in Nha Trang and created a community there.
Apart from snorkelling and diving, you can also enjoy other water sports like jet skiing, parasailing, and banana boat rides. Nha Trang offers an array of water-based adventures for adrenaline junkies.
