PLANNING MY FIRST SOLO TRIP

People go on solo trips for all sorts of reasons.

My reason?

I’m a single 40 year old women whose son is fast approaching 18 and no longer wants to come on all my trips with me.

I’ll be honest, I hate the thought of going on a solo trip. I hate the thought that my son isn’t gonna come along with me on all holidays, all trips, all adventures. But as every parent knows, kids grow up, spread their wings and no longer come along with their parents all the time.

It’s a difficult thing for me to wrap my head around. I’ve been a single mum to my son pretty much since he was born and the thought of this new chapter is not one I’m particularly looking forward to. But, I know I have to face it. So I’m going to plan my first solo trip.
