PHOTOS & POSTCARDS FROM VALLDEMOSSA, MALLORCA

As part of my first solo trip to Mallorca I visited Valldemossa which is a beautiful little village only 20 mins drive from the capital, Palma. The village is set in an idylic valley in the Tramuntana mountains and I spent a sunny morning wandering around it’s cobbled, narrow streets.

I arrived at 8am and the streets were empty as I parked up in a small car park and began my short walk to the village. As I wandered around a few locals began to appear - a waiter setting tables up at a coffee and breakfast cafe, a lady and man chatting as they walked towards their car on their way to work and an older lady cleaning the steps to her house.

I’ve since learned that Valldemossa is Mallorcas most visited town, particularly in the summer months and it’s easy to see why. It’s simply stunning, with it’s old worldy vibe, honey coloured homes with plants on the walls and windey streets.
